About me
George Mitchell is a qualified Architectural Technologist who completed a BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology degree course at what was formally the University of Central England (now Birmingham City University).
Having started working as a CAD Technician for a commercial roofing and cladding company he always had a passion for design and through the influences of TV programmes such as Grand Designs he became increasingly interested in architectural and interior design.
Then in 2006 after responding to an advertisement in the local news paper he began working for a Birmingham based Interior Design company who specialised in Boutique Hotel & Restaurant design projects. This opportunity provided a doorway through to an exciting new world and the chance to develop and gain an academic qualification.
After a long working relationship in the hospitality sector of design a new challenge led to a change in direction in 2014 when a role began for a very successful Interior Architects practice working nationally for Large Commercial Retail Clients.
Fast forward another 10+ years to the start of 2025 and after the decision to take a leap into the unknown; GO Architectural Design is formed. With the support of some very loyal existing clients and the trust of new clients, the company is now growing stronger everyday.
Our Process
Planning
Through consultation and meetings, we can provide clients with a clear and concise approach to both establishing and meeting their brief to achieve the overall end result. This continues through the life of the project and at each stage we can offer support where required.
Design
Offering a full design package, we create a concept based around the client brief adding our own experience to provide every component required to make the design a reality. Through our design expertise we will provide a solution that both meets your needs and goes beyond your imagination.
Detailed Plans
Once a client agrees the design then we will put together the layers of drawings and information required to form a complete drawing pack; allowing the design to move into the construction phase. This detailed information will allow all third-party consultants and contractors to effectively cost and deliver your project.
On-Site Project Management
Once construction has started on site we offer a both physical presence to oversee and direct the required aspects of the build, from planning and execution to monitoring progress, managing risks, and ensuring quality and safety. Key responsibilities include coordinating with various contractors, maintaining communication, tracking budgets and schedules, resolving issues as they arise, and ensuring the project meets both regulatory requirements and most important client expectations.
