Pimlico, London SW1W

Carl Hansen & Sons - Flagship Store Concept

Create a new flagship venue in the heart of Pimlico; as the ‘go to’ destination for interior designers and residential clients.

Role: Designer / Project Co-ordinator

Working directly with the in-house design team at Carl Hansen to establish this famous Danish furniture brands second London location and create a new hub for clients to visit or be taken so they can see this furniture displayed is the most appropriate settings possible.

To deliver this project provided clear space planning for all the furniture displayed and identified key positions for permanent fittings such as raised display areas, a bespoke cash desk, toilets and an open plan kitchen area with integrated units in a bespoke design made up of off the shelf cabinets customers could also purchase. We introduced clever designs for separating different spaces using fabrics sheers that appeared floating from recessed track hidden in the ceiling but could then be drawn back to reveal different spaces as required.
