Role: Architectural Designer / Planning Co-ordinator / Specifier / Interior Designer
Appointed by the homeowner to provide the final piece of an already extensively redeveloped property we were asked to redesign an outdated rear extension and provide a more cohesive link to the adjoining open plan kitchen.
The design fell into two parts; exterior and interior, with both working together to create an overall solution that met with the Clients satisfaction aesthetically and provided the right flow through the increased space of the new internal layout.
Responsibilities included:
- Concept development: Providing clear direction and design input to provide the Client with the final presented concept.
- Planning Consultation: Responsible to preparing detailed drawings, completing the necessary applications and providing all required information to submit to the Local Authority and be granted planning permission for this development.
- Technical delivery: Providing a full construction drawing package; including extensive detailing for the exterior shell and decorative cladding, sloped roof with skylights and solid floor construction.
- Bespoke joinery design: A key part of the concept was a new integrated media wall for which we provided a fully detailed design and specification to enable a joinery contractor or cabinet maker to provide an accurate cost against.
- Cost management: As part of the tender package for prospective contractors a full specification document was provided including a detailed written description of the materials, quality, and workmanship required for the construction of this design.

Detailed Plans
Once a client agrees the design then we will put together the layers of drawings and information required to form a complete drawing pack; allowing the design to move into the construction phase. This detailed information will allow all third-party consultants and contractors to effectively cost and deliver your project.
On-Site Project Management
Once construction has started on site we offer a both physical presence to oversee and direct the required aspects of the build, from planning and execution to monitoring progress, managing risks, and ensuring quality and safety. Key responsibilities include coordinating with various contractors, maintaining communication, tracking budgets and schedules, resolving issues as they arise, and ensuring the project meets both regulatory requirements and most important client expectations.
